Activities
  • Annual tree planting of local species of trees like narra and lauan to support the school`s biodiversity. 
  • Distribute school supplies and reading materials as part of the environmental education campaign.   
  • Educating the school children through proper waste management emphasizing the 3 R`s (reduce, reuse and recycle).
  • Compost production through cultured earthworms involving the school children. The harvested compost is applied to the school gardens and planted trees under the CFP. 
  • Conduct Organic Fermentation workshop to support "Gulayan sa Paaralan" Program or School`s Garden Program.
  • Conduct Environmental Art Workshop and symposium about environmental awareness and biodiversity. 
Project Impact
  • Established mini-forest within the community and school vicinity which serves as playground of the school children and protection against disasters like typhoons
  • Increase of awareness on environmental conservation  and protection among the school children and residents of the communities
  • School children are empowered on environmental awareness and food security by growing their own food in school and at home.
