In December 2017, Mr. Raanan Katzir, the General-Secretary of OISCA Israel Chapter was invited by Mean Chey University (MCU) to initiate an effort to help modernize Cambodia`s agriculture and in the long run, will involve OISCA Cambodia in this collaboration.

MCU is located in Sisophon City, Mean Chey Province, is the fourth most populous city in Cambodia.

Equipped with his vast experience in promoting agronomy within and outside Israel, Mr. Raanan Katzir was invited by the Vice-Rector and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of MCU to conduct a course related to Sustainable Agriculture Methods and Technology to the Master Degree students of the Faculty of Agriculture.

The students who mostly came from family of farmers are producing rice in a traditional way learned about Israel`s diverse and modern agricultural method after 30 hours of lectures in a span of 3 weeks. Mr. Katzir is invited to do lecture at MCU in 2018.
